Hold the front 3 toes together and slid the ring on. The rear toe will fold
back and the ring will slid on. Be gently if your bird tries to wiggle out if
your grasp. It does not matter which leg you put the band on. You can do the
old school method of Right leg male, Left leg female.

Closed bands indicate they were raised in captivity. Use a traditional banding
system such as LYB VA 08 (Love my bird, state bird was born stamped vertically
and the year born), or add a name and phone number. If it fits, I can add it.

These bands come in the following standard sizes, however custom sizes can
also be made upon request:

12mm diameter (generally suitable for small birds or chickens)

16mm diameter (generally suitable for medium to large birds)

18mm diameter (generally suitable for large birds like macaws)

25mm diameter (generally suitable for turkeys and geese)

Please ensure you verify the required size of the band for your birds prior to
ordering. For band sizing we recommend you wrap a piece of string around your
chicken or birds leg at the tightness you want the band and mark where it
meets. Then, lay out the string flat on the ground in a straight line and
measure it. This will give you the circumference of your bird’s leg. To order,
convert this circumference to band diameter by dividing it by 3.14. Add a few
millimeters so the band is not tight.
