About

Martingale collars provide added control over your dog and tighten as they
pull to avoid them slipping off, but do not choke the dog like other types of
collars. These are ideal for use on sighthounds or breeds with long necks and
slim heads as these dogs are prone to backing out of traditional collars,
however martingales are great for any breed.

Please measure your dogs neck carefully before purchasing:

Fit and Sizing

Approximate collar length:
26-30 cm size suitable for most small/young Whippets and some Italian
Greyhounds
30-42 cm size suitable for most Whippets and medium sized breeds
33-47 cm size suitable for most Greyhounds and large sized breeds

To fit, slip collar overhead and adjust to the base of the neck. This should
fit neat on the neck with room to comfortably slide two fingers in between the
neck and collar.


How to Measure

To find the best size for your dog measure at both points A (base of the neck)
and B (largest point of the head). The collar should be able to fit over point
B which is the widest part of your dog's head and be able to rest comfortably
at point A, the base of the neck with room to fit two or three fingers in
between the base of the neck and the collar.

Care

Clean with damp cloth or hand wash in warm water


Safety

We recommend the Martingale for use when walking only, as collars will loosen
over time and could catch on something. Remove when lounging and replace with a
basic ID collar. For your pet's safety, attach any ID tags to one of the loops
on the collar - not the large D ring.
